Caitlin Newcomb Ginwala, LMFT, PMH-C

About Me

Caitlin believes that every child and family deserves a space where they feel seen, understood, and supported to grow into their fullest potential. 


As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than a decade of experience, she specializes in helping individuals and families navigate life’s most important transitions with compassion, clarity, and evidence-based care.


Her clinical expertise includes perinatal and infant mental health, LGBTQIA+ family support, adoption and foster family care, trauma recovery, and grief counseling. Caitlin is especially committed to creating developmentally attuned, attachment-focused support that empowers parents and children to strengthen their bonds and thrive together.


In addition to her private practice, Caitlin serves as Director of Therapy at a national digital pediatric mental health company, where she leads a team of over 100 clinicians and helps shape best practices in child and family care. Previously, she managed intensive day treatment programs for children ages 3–6 with severe emotional and behavioral challenges, experience that informs her skill in working with both early developmental needs and complex family dynamics.


Caitlin earned her MS in Counseling from California State University, Northridge, and has advanced training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She is also a certified Growing Brain Trainer through Zero to Three and holds the National Adoption Competency certification for mental health professionals, ensuring her work is grounded in the latest research on child development, attachment, and family systems.


Her practice warmly welcomes diverse family constellations, including LGBTQIA+ parents, adoptive and foster families, and those preparing to welcome a new baby. Families working with Caitlin can expect care that is not only evidence-based and effective, but also personalized, compassionate, and deeply respectful of their values.


Beyond her professional work, Caitlin values the restorative power of everyday joys—cooking new recipes, spending time in nature, and getting lost in a good book. She brings the same spirit of curiosity, presence, and connection into her work with the families she supports.

Therapy Rates

All attended sessions are charged at the completion of scheduled sessions with primary credit cards kept on file within the HIPAA-compliant electronic health portal.

Individual Psychotherapy

$200

Individual Psychotherapy or Family Therapy

Initial Diagnostic Evaluation

Insurance

All services are out-of-network with insurance companies. A monthly superbill may be provided upon request in order to utilize PPO benefits.

Payments Methods

All major credit, debit, or HSA cards are accepted.


Practice Policies

Additional policies will be provided in the onboarding process.

Location

I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in California. Due to licensing laws, I am only able to work with clients who are physically present in California at the time of our session. This policy includes existing clients who may be traveling or who move away.

Telehealth

If we are doing online therapy, you will need reliable Wifi, privacy, and to be free from distractions. For safety and privacy purposes, I cannot see clients who are in a moving car or who are in a parked car with others present. 

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is held for you on a standing weekly basis. If you need to cancel your session, a 24-hour notice is required or you will be charged the full scheduled session fee. 

Good Faith Estimate

Notification of Good Faith Estimate Effective January 1, 2022, a federal ruling went into effect called the “No Surprises Act,” which requires mental health practitioners to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) of costs to any patient who is uninsured or who is insured but does not plan to use their insurance benefits to pay for specific health care services. Each private pay client’s GFE is included in their intake packet.   


You have the right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate.  For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers or call 1-800-985-3059.
